Steve Rogers was more powerful than he looked during his final sequence featured in Avengers: Endgame. Captain America's elderly appearance took viewers by surprise, but it was a fitting way to retire the beloved Marvel superhero. Granted, Steve was alive and well following the defeat of Thanos, but it was time for him to say goodbye to being a member of the Avengers team. Not only did Steve step away from his role as Captain America, but Chris Evans, who portrayed the character since 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, also looks to be exiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
