We’ve all had those bad days where it feels like no matter what you do, nothing is going your way. You sleep through your alarm, you step in a puddle while wearing your new shoes, you miss the bus … this list could go on forever. And when you have that many things working against you all at once, it can be impossible to see how things can get better. I am no stranger to negative thinking, trust me. I wish I could say something like, “Don’t let the little things bring you down!” but I have most definitely quit for the day and gone back to bed all because one too many cars cut me off in traffic. But in all honesty, sometimes you just need to have one of these days where you just remove yourself from everything that is making you mad or upset and recharge for a few hours. Of course, if you are letting the little things ruin your ENTIRE day, that’s something different. Not every day is going to be stellar. But one thing you should be able to do is to be thankful for the day you had, no matter how crappy it was, by the time you get into bed for the night.
