We live in a diverse group of people 

that helps us grow

Nourish

and Prosper

And eventually, time will come

That when we're already an adult, we need to stand alone,

separate from our friends, peers, and family

It's our battle, for ourselves

the battle is within us

we kept on expecting for an outrageous battle

against the other people, we might encounter,

we might already know,

we always wanted to get ahead of them

we wanted that we are always the best

we want that we are the star

but that is not the definition of living

the thing is

the real enemy is yourself

the real battle is within  you

being greedy, 

angry, 

anxious, 

depressed

we didn't realize that

it's already killing our body from coping up

and we needed that freedom, 

a declaration of Independence

and 

It's not over yet

There's always a silver lining

waiting for us at the end of the tunnel

It's about courage over fear

mind over matter

that every situation we might be in,

whether good or bad

there is always a positive outcome

It's about the positivity that should be seen

The positivity that should shine and reflect

It's always up to us how to get up

and continue the battle we got

to be the best version of ourselves

continue to improve

Enhance our talents

Skills

And capabilities

That will unravel who we truly are

Rather than to compete with everyone

Instead is to grow and learn with other people

learn from criticism

and to continue being a humble man or woman

for this is how we should fight our battle

So when we go back to where it all started

We may reminisce how it all begun

And to remember who we are before

And now I can say 

This is my Independence

and I did overcome the shadows of

sorrow

sadness

evilness

anxiousness

depression

That for everytime I lose is not always a defeat

And victory is not always a success

It's about learning and reflecting

free yourself from pains and suffering

there is no tomorrow if we don't move forward

Believe in yourself 

Trust with yourself

and build Camaraderie 

forget your dark past

and all the negativity that we had been through

and claim that I can Break Every Chain
