A global biopharmaceutical firm, AstraZeneca with researchers from University of Oxford headed by Professor of Vaccinology Sarah Catherine Gilbert announced that it will be available this coming September 2020.

The vaccine was backed up by the world's largest vaccine producer, Serum India Institute and said that they will sell the vaccine for Rs 1,000 or approximately Php 658.05 if converted to Philippine peso.
