A day in my Grandma's Life "Lola (Grandma), are you getting bored?". I asked my grandmother one time when I visited her at her house. I get to visit my grandma atleast once or twice a week since their house is near us. Since the quarantine was implemented here in the Philippines last March, senior citizens have not been allowed to go out of their house. And it's been more than 3 months already (100 days) since she last went out. I've been wondering what her daily life looks like during this quarantine since she is only at home the whole day. She certainly doesn't have social medias to entertain herself nor she doesn't play games on the computer to kill time like what most of us do during this quarantine. That's why I decided to take a video of what she does on everyday basis during that one time that I visited her. And I am surprised that my 82-year-old grandma is actually very productive. In the video I compiled, you can see that she is strong enough to still do household chores, cook for her own food, fold clothes and to feed her dearest dogs. On the other hand, what she does to entertain herself is to watch her favorite TV programs (like GMA 7's Eat Bulaga). She would also read books to sharpen her mind. In that way, she would not be so forgetful of things despite her age. My grandma is always delighted whenever we visit her because she get to talk to someone after being almost alone most of the time. She would make sure to share pieces of advice when we get to bond with her. We learn so much from her, indeed. After editing the video, I teared up as I realize how precious my grandma is and how blessed we are to have her. We really should make the most out of our time whenever we are with are grandparents because they will not be with us forever. So we need to treasure each moment we have while they are still given time our Father in heaven.
