JUST IN: President Rodrigo Duterte has returned Metro Manila and nearby provinces (Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan) to general community quarantine or GCQ, effective on August 19, 2020.

This is as proposed by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
