Disclaimer: I will write this post mostly on my native tongue. If you are a Christian na maybe, after serving for so many years on your youth, then after maging young professional di mo napansin na napalayo ka na pala sa will ng Panginoon para sayo. Maybe, tinatanong mo ang sarili mo: "What now?" or "What to do next?". "Ano na ulit ang calling ko?". If ito ang question mo, this topic is for you. As the scripture says on Isaiah 42:16: I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them. Or maybe you're wondering kung anong mangyayari sayo in the future. Nangangamba ka na baka di magiging maayos yung buhay mo well, "The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you." - Psalm 32:8 Maybe you're wondering, I know God will guide me, but how will He guide me? In this topic, we will give you 5 things how God guides you in your life. 1. He guides me by his Spirit. When you became a Christian, The Spirit of the Lord filled you up and He is now responsible for giving you direction on what to do next. Sa loob loob mo, alam mo kung ano yung dapat mong gawin na ikalulugod ng Panginoon. As the Scriptures says on Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. Another good explanation on this is written on 1Corinthians 2:11-16 which says: 11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. 13 When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.[a] 14 But people who aren’t spiritual[b] can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. 15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. 16 For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?”[c] But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ. 2. He guides me by His Word. Of course, God's word is the best guidance. May sikat na acronym meaning nga ang B.I.B.L.E which is Basic Instructions before Leaving Earth. As the Scriptures says on Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. 3. He guides me by His people Your pastor, your discipler, your grow group is one way how God can guide you. God gave these people in your life to help you in the most toughest moments sa buhay mo. As the Scriptures says on Colossians 3:16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. Another good example is written on Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. 4. He guides me by circumstances Tulad nga ng lyrics ng isa sa mga sikat na Christina songs ngayon, "All things work together for your good". God uses the circumstances in your life to teach you and to build you to be a person He meant for you to be. As the Scriptures says on Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 5. He guides me by His still, small voice. I couldn't agree more with this last point. I know my calling is to help people in need. I love and enjoy being a blessing to others. Blessed to bless ika nga. There's this story of a woman. She always cooks food in large batch kasi malaki yung family niya. When her children moved out, as she used to do, she cooked a large batch of food. Instead of throwing the leftovers, God moved her to give the food to some homeless people. As she was handing the food over, she walked towards a mother with 2 daughters. Ang hindi niya alam, that mother was praying to God to help her feed her children. The woman was moved to tears kasi God guided her to give food to those people in need. As the Scriptures says on Isaiah 30:21: Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.
