After news recently broke that Haikyuu!! season 4 would be delayed, fans now wonder if and when a fifth season would come to Netflix.

Haikyuu!! is an extremely popular anime series produced by the Japanese animation studio Production I.G.

HAIKYUU!! SEASON 5: RELEASE DATE
At the time of writing, there is no information as to when Season 5 of Haikyuu!! will be released.

However, it was recently announced that the second part of season 4, initially due for release in July 2020, is delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Fans predict that if the second part of season 4 can be released by October 2020, we can expect season 5 this time next year.

For viewers on Netflix, don’t expect to see season 5 until late-2021 – although the dates could all change within the next few months.

The adaptation is based on the shonen manga series that focuses on a high school volleyball player called Shoyo Hinata.

The first three seasons of Haikyuu!! released in 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. However, season 4 was a split-cour production, with the first set of episodes being released in early-2020.

Recently, it has been announced that the second part of Haikyuu!! season 4 will be delayed. Now, fans are concerned that season 5 won’t release for over a year.

HAIKYUU!! SEASON 5: STORYLINE
Thankfully there are currently 42 volumes of the original manga available to use for inspiration.

The fourth season started roughly from the end of manga volume 23 (chapter 207) so the storyline for season 5 all depends on how far the story is progressed before then.
