HEALING AT ITS FINEST

Some days, we see ourselves as the strongest and finest person we can be. We smile and go fort on our day like nothing can go wrong. We fight our struggles as if we we're crowned as the armor of the year. But sometimes, our masks fall off and our armor voluntarily gets lose.

We don't need to keep lying to ourselves that everything is okay when we know that it isn't. We don't need to pretend that we will be okay for tomorrow when we know that everything takes time. And we don't need to blame ourselves for feeling that way just because the internet told us that we need to be positive when we know we just can't.

Haven't we all heard Jessie J's song, 'Who you are'? As the line goes, "the more I try the less it's working". You see? When we are in pain, we don't need to pretend that everything is okay. We don't have to skip phases just to reach the goal of "internal happiness". Because happiness comes after grief. Just like what Joy realized in the film Inside Out, in order for Riley to be happy again, she has to learn how to cry and feel all the sadness and just letting it all out. Yes, it's sad to be crying until 3 am in the morning but trust me it will get better for the next 3 am's.

We don't need to rush things when we know it really isn't its time. We don't need to beat ourselves up just because we can't keep up. We don't need to carry everything just because our principles tell us we can carry it. Time can heal, and do you know when it starts to really heal? It is when you accept that pain and sadness is a part of life. It starts to heal when you start to see things in a better and wider perspective. It starts to heal when you listen and talk less. It starts to heal when you're persistent but patient. And it starts to heal when you forgive and forget.

That my friend, I can say that the healing process is at it's finest.
