HOW TO MAKE SUSHI (PINOY VERSION)

Filipinos take on the Japanese top favorite food! Pinoy sushi is Filipino sushi (obviously), a combination of Japanese and Filipino ingredients. Rather than the raw delicacies abounded in rice, this Pinoy sushi is rolled and made with Filipino food and recipe. Making sushi is normally comprises of rice, raw seafood, vegetables, or even organic products, then wrapping them in a thin and delicious piece of seaweed, or “nori” in Japanese but in Pinoy sushi, it features the taste of Filipino food. It is a food wherein Japanese sushi is transformed into Filipino sushi, and it comprises of different flavors filled with different ingredients such as pork adobo and fried marinated daing na bangus.

In this segment, I will give you an idea on where to buy the ingredients and how to make Pinoy sushi.

Suppliers of raw materials for Pinoy Sushi’s product can be easily found in the Philippines, specifically in Manila. Pinoy Sushi aims to provide the costumers the finest sushi rolls bringing the taste of famous Filipino dishes in every package – Bangus, pork adobo, and the juicy steamed chicken breast. To achieve the ideal product, you can buy the products in Fuji Mart or in any Japanese food store. For the Filipino food or ingredients I am pretty sure that you can buy that in any grocery store near your area. In purchasing the needed raw ingredients, it must be assured that the condition of the frozen meat and seafood is still in good condition and fresh after delivering or buying it. 

INGREDIENTS AND MATERIALS NEEDED:
•	Rolling Mat for sushi
•	Nori Seaweed
•	Pork Adobo
•	Daing
•	Eggs
•	Carrots
•	White Onions
•	Seasoned Rice

PRODUCTION PROCEDURE:
•	For the fillings, simmer and fry the marinated pork adobo and the daing separately. Do this method until the meat is fork-tender, set aside, and cut it into small and thin strips. Prepare julienne-cut of carrots, white onions, cooked scrambled egg, and strips of lettuce.
•	For the sushi rice, put 2 tablespoons of prepared rice vinegar for each cup of cooked rice. Ordinary rice vinegar doesn't contain the sugar that you need for sushi rice to have a slightly sweet flavor. If you only have regular rice vinegar, simply add 1 tablespoon of sugar to each half cup of vinegar. 
•	For the sauce, put aside 5 tablespoons of oyster sauce and add chopped white onions and calamansi juice. 
•	For the sushi roll, spread out the nori on the rolling mat. Spread the rice on the nori, use fingers to carefully spread the rice everywhere on the nori. And then, add the fillings to the bottom quarter of the nori. Prepare julienne-cut of carrots, white onions, cooked fried egg, pieces of lettuce, a part of pork adobo, and daing in small size. Next, cautiously roll the mat so you will have a shape that looks practically like a snail. Give the roll a gentle squeeze to compress the ingredients. Eliminate the mat and place the sushi on a chopping board. Lastly, cut it into rounds. Make sure to clean the edge of the blade after each time you cut a piece of sushi to avoid the knife to become sticky. Arrange in packaging or plate and serve. Happy eating!!!
