I am not afraid

Series: Not Afraid Week 1: Not Afraid

This series will teach us not to be afraid no matter what the circumstances may be. 1. We live by faith, not by fear. Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. - John 14:1
The end result of the Holy Spirit's work in our lives is deep and lasting peace. This peace is confident assurance in any circumstance. With Christ peace, we have no need to fear the present or the future.
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. - John 14:27
The power of the Holy Spirit can help us overcome our fear.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7 2. We are sacrificial, not selfish Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. - Philippians 2:3-4
Bilang Kristyano, wag mo lang tignan ang sarili mo, tignan mo din ang iba. Be a hope giver. Share your time. Lend your ear and listen.
All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. - Acts 2:44-45
In our current time, God is not asking you to sell all your possession. This verse is about giving what you have. Give what you can and be a channel of blessing sa ibang tao.
46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. - Acts 2:46-47
God wants us to have a daily faith. Satan trembles NOT when you just listen to service, NOT when you just meet your weekly discipleship or grow group. Satan trembles when you apply what God tells you to do everyday.
3. We shine the light, we do not hide it. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
You are the light of the world. Not the church or religion, YOU!
7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. 8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. - 2 Corinthians 4:7-9
The clay in this verse represents us and God represents the potter. We may face problems in our daily lives but God is always there to support us and to assure that we are always victorious at the end of the day.

By knowing all these things, you can be assured and not be afraid. Know that God is with you. It's time to stand up and shine your light.
