Indonesian President Joko Widodo said that a potential COVID-19 vaccine is being developed in their country and it is expected to be completed by mid-2021, according to a report from The Jakarta Post. The vaccine, known as CoronaVac, is being developed by Chinese biopharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech Ltd. in partnership with the Indonesian state-owned Bio Farma. The vaccine is already on its late-stage human trials and is expected to be finished within at least six months.
