Recently, I have been looking for ways to release all my thoughts. I tend to overthink a lot, and while looking up ways to do so, journaling was what I tried. The first time I did journaling was when I was 8 years old, I would write about my day and the significant parts of it. I lost the journal, but the memories I've written in it are still with me. As I write through my journal, I feel like all my jumbled thoughts come up together on one piece of paper, which to me, is therapeutic, to say the least. I like incorporating all of my senses when doing something, and journaling gives this to me as I tend to turn on my diffuser with lavender essential oil while writing. For me, it is a form of self-therapy and I recommend it to everyone who may be feeling down especially during these trying times.
