A trust is like a glass, it's fragile.

There's this situation when a childhood bestfriend of mine, lied to me about her true feelings in our previous "misunderstanding". I said sorry to her and i really mean it and she said, "It's okay, I don't mind. Forget about that." Here I thought it was really okay to her so, I feel relieved that we're okay.

Few days after, the whole class are saying unpleasant words about me being her poor bestfriend to hurt her via emotional pain. And I saw her thread and of course, I read the comments. The thread was all about our previous "misunderstanding", she stated that she was sorry for hating me secretly for the past few days. Her social media friends knew the person who she was referring so, I can't help, but to cry that night after reading their comments.

"What kind of bestfriend is she? How pathetic."
"How can she manage not to feel guilty for doing that thing? For hurting you?"
"You don't deserve a bestfriend like her, a friendship over will do."

I decided to answer her thread, but before I could start my thread, I deleted it immediately. I realized that, what's the use of retorting to her thread by another thread? What's the purpose of my side (thread) if no one will believe me? I'll just waste my time and effort for doing a thing that will benefit me less. If I retorted, I'll look like defensive so, I let them judge me even though they don't know what really happened between us.

And starting from that day, I trust her less. We're still friends, but I put boundaries and I learned how to keep myself from her. I doubt her honesty, who wouldn't? Will you sacrifice your happiness to someone whom once hurt you? I think, you will not.

Just like that, my trust for her subsides. Like a glass, it broke.

Now, here is the main objective/s of this article,

•You can have a lot of friends, but you can't have their full honesty.
•You can feel relieved, but you can't feel at ease.
•Be aware of the people around you, you wouldn't know if they will smack you or will stab you when you turned around.
•Looks can be deceiving so, better watch out.
•Lastly, expect the unexpected.

Hold your delicate glass (trust) as tight as you could. Protect yourself to people who will hurt you by breaking your trust.

A mere relation can be restored if you want to, but the trust couldn't.

I hope that this article (if it looks like one) can help you why you couldn't bring back your trust to someone who hurt you before in an instance.

Ciao~
