Spoken poetry has been prominent in the Philippines for over a period of time. With that, I was fascinated that poetry can actually be molded into contemporary forms.  As a beginner in fields of spoken poetry writing, this contest has  taught me a lot of things. 

Poetry is not just an in-depth words, it is composed of in-depth emotions. It can be done by everyone. On that contest, I saw how different poets interpret their piece. It was a wonderful event. 

Amid this pandemic, this shows that actions may be louder than words, but words cut deeper in our hearts. It speaks throughout the soul. It intensifies our will to live despite this pandemic. I attest that this generation is full of creative youth who are expressive and unique in their own way, and I am proud that I got to witness it.
