#MYADVOCACY

This might not be included in the challenge already because it's judgement day today, but I still want to write about it. I saw this challenge last September 7,2020, and it got me thinking, "Why am I writing?" That thought is still in my head until now, "Why am I writing?" "Why do I keep on writing?" "Is it just for fun?" "What do I get from this?" "Am I getting anything from this?" A lot more questions, that keep running in my head.

One time or another, I admit, I gave up on the idea of being a "writer". Why? A lot of reasons actually. Most of the time though, I felt like it's not getting enough recognition. Yes, "recognition", and yes a lot of you would say, "It's not all about the recognition." That's true, it's not all about that. Why is it a "big deal" for me? Well, first things first, it's not "popularity" that I am after. When I say "recognition", what I meant was, recognition from the "right people".

So, what's the "right people" that I am talking about? First and foremost, the critics, people who can give me constructive criticisms. Who are they? People who are knowledgeable about what I am writing, and can tell me if there is something wrong, or who can support more about the idea that I would like to get across my readers. Next are, writing critics, of course, we a writers need this right? This is for us, to improve our works. Lastly, the "right audience", people who I want to "read" it. Of course, I cannot choose who will read what I write, but one way or another, correct me if I'm wrong my co writers, we want the people who can really understand, and relate to what we are writing. People who can "read" our message. We are not writing just because we want to be called writers right? We are writing because we would like that, through our works, our audience will "see through" what they are reading. And that my friends, is my advocacy. :)
