#MyFirstLocalTravel was at Laiya, Batangas, I went here together with my barkada last June 2019, this is our first getaway together after years of planning and drawing, lol. Since we are just living in Batangas, we decided to go to a place near us and one of our friends suggested Laiya. Fyi, there are a lot of resorts in Laiya, perfect for bumming around, swimming and do other activities to enjoy with family and friends. When we went there we are really on a tight budget, thankfully Laiya has a variety of resorts and guesthouses for all types of travelers. There are a lot of affordable but comfortable guest houses in Laiya, but when we went there we just stayed outside and put a blanket under the tree and just soaked under the sun, swim and get lost in the beauty of nature. But if you’re willing to pay more, you’ll find plenty of mid-range to high-end resorts in Laiya. I noticed that on our left and right side is a different resort, but these parts are private. But even though we don’t get to experience the luxury that these resorts are offering, we really did enjoy this getaway, the blue sea, the sunny weather, the locals, the view and many more. The experience of spending a whole day out on the islands is nothing short of incredible. In this time of pandemic where we can’t go outside, all that’s left is a memory of our happy past, and I’m really thankful that I get to experience this great adventure together with my friends. I realized that it’s better to save money for travel rather than unnecessary things that we want but we really don’t need. We only live once. After this global pandemic fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show. We will rise again. Support our local. 💙
