With the pandemic stressing us out, as well as our children, parents have been concerned about how our children are going to attend school with the new normal. Although there were options given, everything would still involve modular learning, unless your children are attending private schools. While private schools can follow their original planned school calendar and start whenever they deem appropriate, DepEd has issued an official school calendar for public schools. Based on the post and report by Philippine Star, the new School Calendar for School Year 2020-2021 would now start on October 5, 2020 instead of the original one on August 24, 2020. Come December 20, our children can start enjoying their Christmas vacations and classes will resume on January 3, 2021. Finally, the last day of class is set to be on June 16, 2021. Basically, our children will be able to complete this school year in 7.5 months only as compared to the regular 9-10 months. That is still good news to me. At least our children can level up and not get stuck. How about you? What do you think about this news?
