Online Class Hacks!

Admit it or not, I bet that 90%, your online class feels boring and just so, so draining!

Imagine sitting in front of a gadget for hours. Imagine listening to a discussion you hardly understand because of such distractions, like signal interferences or background noises. Sometimes it's even your prof's teaching style that makes you dread the whole session! Or ...you just don't really like the subject right? (Same!)

But yeah, we're in a new normal! This online class is what we've got to keep us not being left behind as a student. Accept facts, folks. This our new way of grasping education, coz sadly, it's our best choice for now.

As a certified online class learner, trust me, I know and truly-absolutely-totally-definitely feel ya'll fellow online learners!

But I believe that this difficulty in our new system shouldn't hinder us from achieving our goals and dreams in life.

This is just a temporary roadblock to the finishline that we need to overcome!

So, for you who's feeling so drained, tired and unmotivated right now...I'll share some of my hacks to survive your online class hours and make it a lot lighter and enjoyable!

Here they are:

1. Write your class schedule and post it!

Yes. Write your schedule in a clean sheet of paper and post it somewhere you can easily notice; like beside the mirror, or in the wall of your study area.

   Why?

Because seeing your schedule makes you more committed and organized. Somehow, it can make you feel that there's a system in which you need to follow. It helps direct your day and also serves a reminder if you have a certain task in one of your subject. Seeing your upcoming class schedule makes you rethink of the supposed and possible activities right?

2. Change a study area regularly.

Set a study area in your bedroom, at the backyard, in the dining, and in the sala set. Assigned a day when you can study from each preferred places. A daily venue schedule!

I think this is really effective to keep you out of boredom. Sitting only in the same specific place everyday for hours could definitely be dreading. That's why in face to face classes, most of the time, teachers prefer students to transfer classroom every subjects cause we need this thing called "mobilization". Mobilization is important to keep our blood flowing actively again after like an hour of freezing! ( I mean, sitting! )

And hey, a new scenery can undeniably lift someone's mood. Fight me, yeah?

3. Study in a vibrant and chill atmosphere or surrounding.

If you're having your class in your bed, get off there fella! I'm telling you. That won't work but will only lead you... to doze off sleeping. If you're studying in a dim or gloomy area, that won't also do. Somehow it can be relaxing, but remember, you're using a gadget. It makes you tired and drained, and this kind of vibe will also make you feel sleepy.

Study near a window where there is sunlight. Study in a comfortable but has an uplifting vibe. You can sit outside, in the backyard , since nature and plants are refreshing. It can help clean your mind and focus on what's the teacher is saying. Study in a clean room with vibrant colored walls and ceiling.

4. Clean and organize your study space.

Wherever you're studying, always make sure to keep it clean. If you're in your study table, make sure to organize your things. Put your supplies on the right places. Sort them. You can make do-it-yourself canisters or carton shelves as organizers. You can choose to label them for easier search. Compile your paperworks (activities or quizzes, etc.) in a folder or any portfolio. A messy place and disorganized things will only add to your stress, so eliminate these immediately.

5. Rest your eyes for minutes.

Long used of gadget can strain your eyes. Actually, that's one of my biggest dilemma everytime since I have a poor eyesight. I am using glasses but I think it doesn't match my visual acuity (eye prescription) now, since my last eyecheck up was last december already. I can't go out for follow up because of quarantine. My eyes tear up most of the time especially when I'm having a full-sched day. My tip for this situation is beware of how long you are staring at your gadget. Your eyes automatically blink from time to time but resting it is different. Try to shut your eyes for minutes like 1-5, every after like 10 minutes. Your terms, any minute you like, as long as you rest it to avoid straining. You can also have something green in your room and stare at it. Have a picture of plant or trees and stare at it. You can have an ornamental plant in your table to stare too, or look outside the window for plants and anything green that is relaxing to the eyes.

I hope these five hacks can be helpful to you! I still have many reserve hacks but those were all for now since I don't want to make this too long. I'll drop the others next time;).

Follow my tips now and let me know later on if those were effective for you. Goodluck on your class! Study harder cause your actions and decisions now will be your future.
