Oriental Mindoro Philippines #MyFirstLocalTravel

My first local travel at the most peaceful place i have been to, called Oriental Mindoro.

First, i wanna tell you why i went there. July 4, 2018 the day after my actual birthday, i celebrated my special day in there. I decided to go to an orphanage, a home for the aged to be exact. I gave a little help and shared some of the blessings from my friends that i asked for. It's one of my bucketlist, to actually go at Aruga Foundation to meet these old women and men because a friend of mine told me how welcoming they are. As im at the orphanage, i can say that everyone in there is lovely. You can feel how welcome you are, how much they love you, how much willing they are to get to know you. They are so bubbly despite of not having a so-called family and they made me fell inlove with them where i can't help not to cry because of too much happiness and it made me want to come back again. The feeling they gave is something you wanna feel again even though i just met them and be with them in less than a day.

Second reason, i badly want to meet and see the indigenous people called Mangyan where you can find them in different part of Oriental Mindoro.
Im so curious about them, if they are really different to a civilized one or not. And i can say that they have a different kind of lifestyle in someways when i saw them. They are not as civilize as we do but they are not as traditional as they were before and i can also tell that you can never compare their kindness.

Third, the food. I have some friends in there that i met in social media, and i keep asking them what kind of food i should try when i get there. And all of them said, i should try to eat adobo and fried frog. It made me excited a little bit and scared at the same time because i've never eaten a frog my entire life. But sadly, as much as i wanna try it, i didn't had any chance to have a dish made from frog when i was there because of some reason. But i'll make sure that i am going to have it the next time im going to visit the place again. But let me tell you this food that i had, it's called lomi. It was made by the father of my partner who is a resident of Oriental Mindoro. I don't usually eat lomi but when i tasted it, i could really say that i'll be going to be fond of lomi from now on. Another good food i had in there is pancit, well pancit is everywhere like lomi but they really have a good pancit you'll always gonna crave for, there's something in their foods that will amaze your tastebuds so it means, people from this place are good cook.

Fourth, Mindoro is also known as Rice Granary and Fruit Basket of Southern Tagalog. And i wanna see it myself, how beautiful and how much rice fields they have. Well, they didn't disappoint me because you can see rice fields here and there. The moment i saw it, i literally smiled for seeing such beautiful green rice fields. It made me feel so at peace and overwhelmed espacially when i saw a carabao in it, since it's my first time to see it and i badly wanna ride on it though im a bit scared too.

And Last, i am fond of beaches so i really wanna go to the famous Puerto Galera. I have seen it on television and internet a lot of times and i can say that they really have a beautiful white sand beaches and an overwhelming sunset. It is beautiful on social media but much beautiful when you see it on your own. When you experience the beauty that it has, surely it will make you wanna go back all the time.

Oriental Mindoro is maybe not that known for other people or maybe some doesn't really know where it is. But this place will give you an awe when you visit. From beautiful beaches, good food, nice view from different part of it, nice and accomodating people, and it's peaceful vibe. What else you wouldn't love about this place?

That is my first local travel. I helped, i met new good people, i enjoyed it's beautiful beach and it's sunset, i have seen it's indigenous people, i witnessed a ton of rice fields but it's not just it. I have learned that even if you don't have so much of stuff, you can still be happy because happiness is a choice. It's not just a blood related person you can a call a family, it's also the people who loves you and always there for you. Being different is not an issue to be kind. You can be kind whatever you are, wherever you came from, whatever you look like because looks can never define kindness. Beauty comes on how you appreciate things, whatever makes you at peace, what makes you contented or the things that makes you happy. And lastly the people, i have never met such good people that won't make you feel like you're not belong but will treat you like a family and that is something that everyone should be.
Again, that is my first local travel at a peaceful place called Oriental Mindoro.
