BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT

Years ago I earned a friend from work which was our hotel guest. I can never forget how this lady was soo nice. I always hear her say “benefit of the doubt”. Whenever we were tempted to talk about someone, she would then say that magic statement. From then on, I acquired her attitude not to judge someone quickly.

Years passed, I became more often to be a subject of judgement because I was able to step up my career, thus being more responsible and meeting more people.

Imagine, 26 years of age - stayed in total of 8 homes in 3 Cities, met 3 women who wanted to be my 2nd mom plus their families, studied in 9 schools and worked in 5 companies and experienced 9 positions - that’s a lot. A lot of work, a lot of people and a lot of adjustments. This is not showing off but just giving a picture of what I have been through and how I have grown. Now let me explain further which is very related to The Magic Statement “benefit of the doubt”.

Reading this, you would not even think that I am a nice, simple, good, girly and soft spoken kind of person.

They say first impression last. Yeah. But I don’t care of impressions because I look deeper in each every person I meet. I even remember my boss telling me how things are not good but I didn’t see no good but amazing work of the amazing people. In my mind I see my team soaring high for their dreams yet the situation tells they’re not capable. Such a sad world, right? When a person looks strong, I look deeper and I see through his/her eyes the soft side. When a person looks weak, I look deeper and I see through his/her future that she/he will be someone very important. This is the kind of trait I like most about myself. I use my benefit of the doubt and prove this many times that indeed judgement does no good. This is what I also hope for other people. I hope they look deeper and not on the outer layer of a person.

Who are we to judge? Who are we to limit someone’s abilities? Who are we to create a world for someone?

At the end of the day, we are living in the World. Our days here are counted and not permanent.

We are human and we are not God 😊
