Pray by the Book (Psalms): CCF Mid-Year Prayer and Fasting 2020

Every year, my CCF family has been dedicating every start and middle of the year to prayer and fasting to express our full dependence on God and recalibrate ourselves to His will.

Before anything else, you may be thinking, “What is CCF”? To be exact, it is not a matter of ‘what’, but of ’who’.
“We are a movement of men and women who have encountered God and committed our lives to the Lord, focused on making an impact through the work of the Holy Spirit in transforming lives, families, communities and nations, for the glory of God.”

“What is prayer?” Prayer is having spiritual communication with God. It allows us to not only talk to Him, but to also listen to Him for the purpose of aligning our will to His.
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” - Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

SUGGESTIONS FOR PRAYER:
	• A - Adoration
	• C - Confession
	• T - Thanksgiving
	• S - Supplication

“What is fasting?” Fasting is the voluntary abstinence from food or objects for a specified duration of time. It is for us to focus our thoughts on God, and become more intimate with Him.

“So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.” - Daniel 9:3 (NIV)

As we fast and pray, study, and apply His Word, we also used to gather in our chosen CCF satellites from Wednesday to Saturday for corporate worship and prayer. That was before the pandemic. But by the grace of God, He allowed us to experience our first ever Online Mid-Year Prayer and Fasting and even though we are physically apart, we still remain one in Spirit.

My dear reader, I also want to pray for you! I encourage you to share your prayer requests in the comments below.

If you want to join us, you can download the P&F Booklet and let’s gather together online for Evening Watch on https://www.facebook.com/CCFmain/.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
 	- Galatians 6:2
