In the latest public address of President Duterte, he said Russia is ready to give COVID-19 vaccines to the country. Duterte hopes vaccines to have a mass production by September or October, to be a COVID-free by December. 

"Hintay nalang kayo, kaunti nalang talaga. By December, sabi ko in the fullness of God’s time, hopefully we will have a COVID-free December and we can enjoy this Christmas season."
