Several aircraft debris were found by locals about three kilometers apart in Mercedes and Guiuan towns in Eastern Samar last August 6. The debris were turned over to the military for safekeeping and custody as investigations are being prepared.

According to the Philippine Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Center (PARCC), currently, there have been no reports of missing aircrafts within the Philippines' flight information region (FIR) as well as its neighboring FIRs.
