Spread Optimism in the Virtual World

Optimism is not merely about thinking of happy thoughts. It is the acknowledgement of negativities and yet choose to dwell on the positive side. In times like this, we may foget to look for every good thing. Recent events may challenge our mental state and if we let it be that way, pessimism will start to creep in.

It costs 0$ to spread positive vibes and also 0$ to help your friends keep up in life. It will not only help others but yourself too.

But how can we look for positivity when we don't have the chance to keep up with each other because of social distancing and quarantine? Internet, indeed, plays a big role in our society now. Let us share positivity using the social media, the most used and convenient thing today. Here are things that you may do in spreading good vibes:

1. Message your friend and give a genuine compliment.
Compliments make one's heart melts. You wouldn't know if that single compliment will save your friend from taking back. Make it a genuine one to show your appreciation.

2. Smile in video calls! Even in chats(emojis are there for you).
This is a simplest yet impactful way of spreading positive vibes.

3. Hit the like/heart button.
Help your friend boost his/her confidence by making him/her feel appreciated.

4. Unfollow negativity/stop sharing negative posts.
What you read influence your way of thinking. If you are constantly seeing negative posts about a certain thing, it may affect your mood so better to click the unfollow button. Also, it will prevent you from sharing things like that.

5. Share your positive experiences online.
The things and moments that make you happy can also have the same effect on others. If you have a quote that encourages you to tackle the challenges of the day ahead, post it. Don’t be surprised if it inspires other people and gets the post shared.
