Time may pass but memories will remain

“The life given us by nature is short, but the memory of a life well spent is eternal” –Cicero. This quote supports my belief that life is short, but the memory remains forever. I know this is true because I have witnessed it first hand and I, personally, think everyone else has also witnessed this at least once in their lives, due to the death of a loved one.

I believe in this because I know it is true and it has a lot of meaning to me. My grandma passed away in June of 2008 at the age of 64. That, to me, is a fairly young age, considering that most people live well into their eighty’s and ninety’s now days. Her life was short, but her memory will remain with her family for the rest of our lives.

I remember times when I would stay with my grandma, we would can vegetables and she would tell me stories about when her kids were younger. I would love to stay with grandma, because we had so much fun together. My grandma was the one that got me started on watching old western movies, such as, the ‘Love Comes Softly’ saga.

I honestly think I could stay here all day and share stories about my grandma and the things we did, which proves that my belief, life is short, but the memory remains forever, is true. Grandma Lois may be gone, and we all miss her terribly, but the memory of her will remain with us forever, that is alright because we will see her again one day, but until then we have many memories of her.

I hope that this inspired you to find something you believe in and embrace it. When you find something you believe in write about it and do not be afraid to defend it. Many people will try to get you to believe something that you know is not true. So, once again, my belief is life is short, but the memory remains forever. When you find whatever it is you believe, embrace it, and defend it whenever necessary. Do not let other people dissuade you to believe something else.
