Are you planning to take a pre medical course in the Philippines?
Here’s what you need to know to help you decide whether it is for you.

3 Advantages:
1. If your interest lies on learning the human body and all of its aspects, then you will enjoy pre-med programs. Just choose what you are most interested about.

2. Any pre-med course is a good start if you are sure on continuing Medicine. However, it’s not a problem if you decide not to continue becoming a doctor because there are still many opportunities if you finish a pre-med degree. 

3. You don’t need to be smart. Yes, it will be an advantage if you are an achiever. But the most important thing is you are INTERESTED in what you are learning.

3 Disadvantages:
1. Do not take a pre-med course if you are up for the money and think it is a high-paying job. The years and money you spend on medical school is much more than what you will earn in years of practice here in the Philippines. That is why a lot of healthcare workers go abroad to work.

2. You should be willing to lose time for friends, family, and hobbies. It is the sad truth of medical courses- you will sacrifice sleep, hang outs, and family gatherings most of the time. 

3. It is not going to be easy. It is normal to fail some subjects thus it would take a lot of patience and dedication to finish the program. 

Do not worry. No matter how long and tough the road is, the finish line will be worth it!
