What We Learned as a Senior High Student

I wonder if we can decide which is worse, life as we're living or no life at all. We may not see the future, but we can't deny that we have a past." - SUSAN BETH PFEFFER
Life as we know it is hard. We woke up everyday not knowing what lies ahead of us. We live our life risking to the possibilities life has to offer us. This is no different on being a student. We go to school everyday clueless of the things we might face until the year ends.
From being a happy go lucky and go with the flow students during our Junior High years, we now face the reality of being a Senior High student. There are hardships we need to surpass, and trials we need to face everyday. But just like what they say, Senior High is the perfect stepping stone for us to be able to discover and evaluate our true selves.
Surpassing these trials bringeth us lessons that we can carry on through the rest of our life. Here are some of them;
BE YOURSELF. DON'T TRY TO PLEASE EVERYONE AROUND YOU.
  Being in school doesn't necessarily mean you need to have a lot of friends. Just be you and true friends will find you.
THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION
   Thinking of education as a competition is a toxic attitude for our point of view. Not everything in life is a race or a battle needed to be won. In senior high school, it is more on teamwork. You should be able to help someone in their time of need without waiting for something in return. Yet, we should help them with all our willingness to help.
GO TO CLASS TOGETHER, THEN WE MUST LEFT NO ONE BEHIND.
YOU'VE GOT NO WHERE TO GO IF YOU GOT NO CONFIDENCE.
  This is the line that sticks to our minds that we heard from our subject teacher. We must admit that we are not that confident when it comes to expressing ourselves or to presenting the report of lessons our teachers have given to us. We were afraid of being told that what we did was wrong. But now, we gained more confidence.
RESPECT NOT JUST THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU BUT ALSO YOURSELF. BE CONSIDERATE
  Respect is a must not just at school but anywhere you go. You must consider that not everyone around you has the same interests as you. Not everyone has the same belief like you have. Not everyone has the same attitude as you. But in able to respect others, you must be able to respect yourself. VALUE YOURSELF MORE!
CHERISH EVERY MOMENT EVEN THE TINNIEST DETAIL
  In life, once a thing is done , it's done. You can take it back. So value every moment that happened. If it is something bad, cherish it and think of it a lesson then if something great happened, think of it as an inspiration to do more about this kind of things. Life is too short to ignore every detail of it.

TRACKING LIFE IS LIKE A HIKER CARRYING A BAG FULL OF HEAVY THINGS ON IT BACK. AS HE CLIMBS UPON THE SLOPE OF A MOUNTAIN, HE MAY FIND IT IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH THE PEAK, BUT WITH THE HELP OF SOME PEOPLE, THE LOAD HE'S CARRYING IS LIGHTER NOW. HE WILL NOW REACH THE PEAK NOT ALONE, BUT HE CARRIED SOME BEHIND HIM TO CELEBRATE HIS SUCCESS. THIS ALSO IMPLIES TO US STUDENTS. WITHOUT THE HELP OF OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND TEACHERS, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REACH THE PEAK OF OUR DREAMS.
