MYTHOLOGY Lilith or Lilit, is the first known demon, first even before the renowned Lucifer or Satan. She is hardly mentioned in Christian religion, but in Jewish folklore, of Mesopotamic origin, as well as in Hebrew mythological. She is considered Adam's first wife. According to legend, she abandoned him to leave eden. Insolently refusing to be subservient to her husband, Lilith left Adam and voluntarily leave Paradise. After arriving on Earth, she settled by the Red Sea with her children, and there she joined with Asmodeo (Samael, Lucifer or Satan) who became her lover. God sent angels so they could convince her to return, but she was very resentful and proud because she did not accept the offer. Time later, Lilith became a demon but at the same time was cursed, for every time she wanted to have her children with any man (besides Satan), they were born as demonic abberations, but never with human image and beauty. According to legends in Hebrew, it was Lilith who disguised herself as a snake slipping into Paradise and making the attempt to have Adam and Eve eat the fruit forbidden by God. She did this because she couldn't stand the happiness between her former man and his current wife, which in her case could never be achieved and therefore it took as revenge to make them both exiled.
